Our Release Policy
We are dedicated to making
your event a memorable occasion.
Our release coordinator will be
dressed
in appropriate attire for your event.
We do not lease our birds for self releases.
A release cordinator must be present at all releases.
We will carefully evaluate each location
and
arrange your release to maximize its effect.
We do not release birds indoors.
We do not release birds in inclement weather.
This includes high winds, heavy rain/snow,
fog and extreme temperatures.
All of our birds are permanently seamless banded with
AU-IF-NPA or other recognized bands that will
identify the bird for it's safe return
if it becomes lost or injured.
The birds cannot be released if hazards exist
such as
birds of prey, or other animals that prey on doves,
overhead wires, or other high obstacles
The birds need sufficient time to return home
which normally requires two hours before dusk.
If you choose the hand release instead of the basket release,
Highland Lofts will not be held responsible for any damages
caused by the doves, to you, or to your clothing.
We do not release birds beyond the
range they have been trained for.
